The lot features an original circa 1950's Acoma pottery olla with geometric black on white with red base polychrome painting. The piece shows a nice medium to medium-large handmade pottery bowl which has a red slip base with black on white geometric painted design with wonderful detail. The bottom is signed Acoma and $15.00 in graphite pencil. The piece was found to bid an authentic mid-20th century Acoma example from the experts at Hindman and Cowan's auction. Provenance: From the Estate of Beatrice Weiskopf, Buffalo Grove, Illinois. The piece has hairline cracks on one side, presumably from when the pot was fired, but otherwise is in well kept good condition with expected wear. Measures overall 8.5" diameter across by 6"H.
