For your consideration in this lot is a circa 1960's handmade clay whistle from Peru. The whistle is made of six women in a circle gossiping. This polychrome whistle is painted with white, tan, brick red, brown and mahogany. On the back of each woman's head is the outlet slot for the whistle. There is one blow hole in the skirt of one woman. A gold sticker is on the bottom of one woman's dress that reads "FOLKLORE EXPORT: HAND MADE IN PERU". The whistle is 6 1/2" tall and 16 1/2" around. The whistle is in good condition.
