Presented in this lot is a 1985 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo trophy FB Rogers Silverplate Covered Casserole Chafing Dish with elegant finial and matching handles and a 3 quart Pyrex clear bowl insert, FB Rogers logo is stamped on the underside of the chafing dish. This chafing dish was a prize awarded during the 1985 Houston Livestock and Rodeo, inscription on the outside reads, "Reserve Grand Champion Female Champion of Champions Simmental-Show". A medallion is attached to the hood and reads, "Houston Livestock Show And Rodeo 1985". F. B. Rogers Silver Co. was a silversmithing company founded in Shelburne, Massachusetts in 1883, and acquired a division of National Silver Company in 1955. This silverplate chafing dish has a consistent patina throughout, scorch marks throughout as well as slight scratches consistent with its age and use. Chafing fuel canister well has manual lever for shutoff. There is a dent located over part of the inscription otherwise in good overall condition.
Chafing dish measures 10.5" diameter, 3.5" deep, measurement in the three-footed stand is 15"H x 15"W approximately.
