For your consideration is this early, first edition illustrated catalogue of, "Fire And Police Department Badges" manufactured by The C.G. Braxmar Company in New York, 1912. The C. G. Braxmar Company was a company established in 1879 by Charles Braxmar. They were known for producing badges for fire departments and other agencies. This catalog is profusely illustrated with black and white reproductions of badges, lapel buttons, miniature eagles, raised emblems and ornaments, cups, hat charms, hand embroidered insignias, duty trumpets, gavels, banners and belts, rings, engraved shields, and other items used by police and fire departments, as well as other branches of municipal, county, state, and special official services. The photos are printed on glossy paper, with up to sixteen items displayed on a single page. It show a light blue paper cover, while the front cover reads, "Illustrated Catalogue of Fire And Police Department Badges / Manufactured by The C.G. Braxmar Co. / Incorporated No. 10 Maiden Lane New York / Diamonds, Watches And Jewelry / Lodge Supplies And Knights Templar Equipments". It shows good condition overall with wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. It measures 9 1/8" L x 6 3/8" W x 1/4" D and weighs 6 ounces.
