Featured in this lot we have a Goodridge-call lumber co. C M Russell painting calendar from 1911. Charles Marion Russell, born March 19th, 1864 in St. Louis Missouri and died on October 24, 1926 in Great Falls Montana. Russell is known for his paintings of cowboys, Indians, and western landscapes, as well as crafting bronze sculptures. This piece shows the C M Russell painting "Heads or Tails" depicting three cowboys driving cattle up a hill, one of the cowboys has roped a cow with the rope across the rear of one of the other riders horse. The painting is framed with a off white border featuring dark gold lettering reading "compliments of Goodridge- Call Lumber Co. Retail Lumber" with a calendar below the painting with the cover reading "Calendar 1911". The piece is in good condition overall with some spots of discoloration on the border. The piece overall measures 20" wide by 15" tall, the picture measures15" wide by 8 1/4" tall.
