Featured in this lot is this C.S. Fly cabinet card of Hugo Langpaap born in 1880 and died in 1933; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The cabinet card features a portrait photograph of Hugo Langpaap in a work suit, Hugo Langpaap worked for William Hattich at the Epitaph in the late 1880's (as stated by the genuine museum tag on the front). This cabinet card comes form the C.S. Fly gallery and is marked: Fly - Tombstone, Ariz. Camillus "Buck" Sydney Fly (May 2, 1849 – October 12, 1901) was an Old West photographer who is regarded by some as an early photojournalist and who captured the only known images of Native Americans while they were still at war with the United States. He took many other pictures of life in the silver-mining boom town of Tombstone, Arizona, and the surrounding region. He recognized the value of his photographs to illustrate periodicals of the day and took his camera to the scenes of important events where he recorded them and resold pictures to editors nationwide. Hugo Langpaap (1880–1933) was a resident of Tombstone, Arizona, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born to Carl Heinrich Teodor Langpaap and Maria Catharina Buhmann, he was part of a family that contributed significantly to the local community The condition of this C.S. Fly cabinet card is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows a good overall condition. The measurements of this cabinet card is 6 1/2" x 4 1/8". P76
