The lot features a truly scarce, Comanche dagger fighting dag knife from the ex-collection of Dan Wasko and Jeb Taylor. The piece has a Spanish Colonial lance spear head with one piece solid wood handle adorned with solid brass square shank small early 19th-century trade tack band at the base. The blade shows a thicker median body with double edge lance head blade having downward cirle and notched bottom with artful iron work just above the hilt. The hilt has an iron wrapping. Blades from the Comanche of the Southern Plains, escpecially during this era of their Indian Wars, are very scarce. This blade has nice original patina and wear and is well preserved. Provenance: From the ex-collection of Dan Wasko and Jeb Taylor. Measures overall 9.28-incehs long, blade protrudes 4 7/8-inches from the hilt and is 1 7/8-inches wide.
