Featured in this lot is this stoneware textured meat tenderizer mallet circa 1877. The head of the mallet is marked "Pat'd Dec. 25, 1877" and is held by a solid wooden handle. The face around the mallet is textured to make it easier to tenderize slabs of meat. The condition of this meat tenderizer is well preserved with a heavy patina adorning the stoneware head and a patina adorning the mallet haft but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this mallet is 3" x 9". The collective weight of this meat tenderizer is 1lb 4oz.
