Featured in this lot is this John M. Pherson Deputy Sheriff Oath circa 1879; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The letter is a handwritten official document with the blind stamp of the Lincoln County Seal. The letter is the handwritten oath John Pherson had to take and was executed before March 14th, 1879. The condition of this Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff oath is well preserved with some slight browning to the letter consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this letter is 8 1/4" x 8". LO149
