The lot features a bow and arrow set dating to circa 1880-1890's from the Southern Plains. The bow is a nice, large example with solid wood having carved notches and remnants of blue pigment paint. The lot includes three arrows from the same age and region. The arrows have a carved wooden shaft with sheet iron cut and beveled edge arrow head tied with sinew and at the ends a nice carved notch with red and blue pigment painted bands and turkey feather fletching tied with sinew. The arrows and bow have a nice original patina and are well kept. Two of the arrows have the sinew slightly loosening, which is expected. Truly a beautiful set with nice age. Bow measures 48"L by approx. 1.5"W. Arrows are approx. 28.5"L.
