The arrest warrant features a handwritten order for the Sheriff of Pima County to retain George M. Perine in custody to answer for the charge of Manslaughter, and is remanded to pay a set bail of $5000.00 or to be kept in custody until he is fully discharged from the charges. The hand written warrant is written by James Riley and signed in the bottom right hand corner. The arrest warrant shows an original museum tag that reads as follows: County of Pima, Territory of Arizona - The Territory of Arizona to the Sheriff of the County of Pima. - An order having been this day made by me that George M. Perine be held to answer on a charge of manslaughter committed on or about the 22nd day of June 1880 at Tombstone in the above named County of Pima. You are commanded to receive him into your custody and contain him until he is fully discharged. - Dated this 26th Day of August 1880. - James Reilly, J.P. - It is Further ordered that the above named George M. Perine be admitted to bail in the amount of five thousand ($5000) dollars. The condition of this Hand Written Arrest Warrant is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows some browning to the page consistent with the age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition.
