Featured in this lot is a Cochiti Pueblo polychrome parfleche drum, circa 1890 to 1900. The drum features a wonderfully and professionally crafted single log and stretched Parfleche rawhide wrapped construction that shows polychrome natural dye to the scalloped spaces. The drum is marked on the side walling in pen: Cochiti Pueblo - CA 1900. The condition of this Cochiti Pueblo polychrome drum is well preserved for its age with some wear to the naturally dyed decoration and the stretched rawhide but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this drum are 8 1/4" x 8 1/2" x 7 1/2". The collective weight of this drum is 1lb 8oz.*
