Featured in this lot is this 1900-1920s beaded and embroidered Native American hide scout jacket from the Northern Cree tribe. The jacket is constructed from a tanned hide in a classic Scout jacket pattern. It shows fringe throughout the top half across the chest, through the sleeves and across the back. Embroidered thread and beadwork in floral designs adorn the back, the front, the front pockets and bottom fringe of the jacket in colors of green, red, pink, orange, blue, white, clear and gray. The jacket is well kept and has a nice coloring. The jacket shows good condition overall with slight wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted to the jacket. It measures 22 3/4" long from top of neck to bottom of coat, 62" wide from cuff to cuff (outstretched) and 22 1/4" wide from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. It has a collective weight of 2 pounds.
