The lot features an original pottery polychrome painted owl effigy from the Zuni Pueblo Native American Indians dating to circa 1900-1930's. The piece shows an owl bird shape with dark brown on white paint having additional features in red / brown. The bird shows a beak with mouth opening to the hollow center, raised eyes, ears, wings and a tail. The piece shows some slight paint loss but displays beautifully for its early age. Bottom is marked Zuni and 5.00. Measures 5"H by 4.5"W by 4"D. Provenance: A fine Bozeman, Montana collection.
