Featured in this lot is this payment receipt from Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works circa 1900; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The receipt features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows a receipt "Coaster Brakes" with an extra charge for the brakes bringing the total to $29.40 and sold to Ira Edwards out of New York. Iver Johnson was a Norwegian-born American gunsmith, inventor, and entrepreneur who founded Iver Johnson Arms in 1871. He immigrated to the United States during the Civil War and established a company that manufactured firearms, bicycles, and motorcycles. Iver Johnson is known for inventing the safety automatic revolver, a revolutionary safety feature in handguns at the time. The condition of this Iver Johnson receipt is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this receipt is 5 1/2" x 8 3/8". HW178
