Featured in this lot is this original map of The Upper Sound Country, compiled and drawn by Henry G. Plummer and published by The Mason Mortgage Loan Company circa 1900s. This map includes parts of the counties of Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason and King. The map is lightly colored throughout and is set in a grid like structure. The top of the map reads, "Published by The Mason Mortgage Loan Co., Tacoma, Wash. Office, Mason Block / Map of the Upper Sound Country Comprising Parts of the Counties of Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason and King. Washington / Compiled and Drawn by Henry G. Plummer Tacoma, Wash. Lithographed by H.S. Crocker & Co. S.F. Cal." in blue lettering. The map shows good condition overall with little to no wear present. It is set on a poster board and covered with wax paper to preserve its condition. The map measures 28" L x 34 1/4" W and weighs 1 pound and 2 ounces.
