Featured in this lot is this official Death Warrant for Rosario Emilio out of Lincoln Co., New Mexico Territory for Capitol Murder circa 1907; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. This is an official Death Warrant out of Lincoln County showcasing the steps the court took to reach the ruling of death for murdering Rosario Emilio's 18 year old sweetheart Antonita Cerilla in cold blood. He is charged and sentenced with executing her on the side of the road with two rounds recovered one from her head, and one from her chest near her heart. Rosario Emilio than a day before this Warrant's date for the hanging escaped the Lincoln County jail and was reported to being given help to evade authorities. The document comes complete with a Museum rendition of newspaper articles printed out explaining the overview of this case. The condition of this official Lincoln Co. Death Warrant is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage with some slight browning to the official document but otherwise shows a well preserved condition.
