Included in this lot is are Antique Sterling Silver Cigarette Boxes (3), circa 1930-1950's, Birmingham and Sheffield. The larger octagonal shaped box is a vintage English silver plate tea caddy with gadrooned edges. "England" is stamped underneath. Dome shaped lid is engraved "BDM". The second features a vintage silver cigarette box in the Art Deco style lined with a divided cedar interior, rectangular with plain straight sides. Over cover lid hinged with tapering tab. The lid has a rectangular cartouche in the center which has been engraved with the date 12/7/57, surrounded by engine-turned ornament. Scrollwork decorates top edges and front. Box is raised on four corner pedestals. Hallmarks are stamped on the left side including the Birmingham "anchor". Box underside leather lined. Smaller features stamped tear drop design on all sides, "sterling 925 and city hallmark on underside edge. Box underside mahogany lined. Smaller measures 3.75"W x 5.675"L x 1.25"D, second is 4.25"W x 6.5"L x 1.375"D, largest is 4.75"W x 5.75"L x 3.25"H. Combined weight is 1314 gms.
