Featured in this lot is this Apsáalooka Crow porcupine hair roach circa 1930's. The hair roach features a wonderfully and professionally crafted porcupine quill and yarn construction that is a three layer hitched porcupine quill with string connectors and shows a natural coloration to the porcupine quill with yellow and blue yarn to the bedded frame of the hair roach. These headdresses would have been worn across the top of the warriors head for battle or a special ceremony. The condition of this of this Apsáalooka Crow hair roach is good and in well preserved condition with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition.
