Featured in this lot is this prison made Deer Lodge, MT horsehair hitched quirt circa 1950's. The quirt features a wonderfully and professionally crafted horsehair construction that shows round shaft and that shows geometric patterns throughout the hitched horsehair with two knots and shows flared tail hair below the knots and a loop at the end of the quirt. The condition of this horse hair quirt is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this horse hair quirt is 33 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/2". The collective weight of this quirt is 4oz.
