Featured this lot is this Wostenholm Sheffield "Tally-Ho" Frontier trade dagger circa 19th century. The dagger features a wonderfully and professionally crafted steel, antler tine, and leather construction that shows a 4" blade with a antler tine and shows a burr for the hilt with a double sided blade made from Wostenholm Sheffield and marked "Tally-Ho." The blade is sharp on both sides retaining its useful edge. The condition of this Sheffield dagger is well preserved for its age with some wear to the leather scabbard and patina to the antler tine handle and the blade but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this dagger in sheath is 9 7/8" x 1 1/2" x 1 1/8" and the blade length is 4". The collective weight of this dagger is U4oz.
