A resident of Virginia City, Montana, his paintings reflect his love of the Northern Plains during the era of the 1850s. Charles Bear is a celebrated contemporary Western artist, whose distinctive water color, oil, and ink based works have been praised by art enthusiasts worldwide. Charles has been a professional artist for nearly 50 years, including a regular at the C.M. Russel Art Show in Great Falls, Montana for over four decades.
