Featured in this lot is this gouache painting called "Wild Ponies" by Ron Stewart, circa 1975. Ron Stewart was born in 1941. The painting shows a wonderful depiction of a Native American brave holding his second war pony, standing in a canyon. Ron Stewart is a painter and sculptor of western, historical, wildlife, and animal subjects. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, but has a studio in Scottsdale, AZ (2003), where customers can walk in and watch him sculpting and painting traditional old-Western themed art. The condition of this gouache painting is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this framed gouache painting are 17 1/8" x 15 1/8" and the visible art measures 9 5/8" x 7 1/2".
