Featured in this lot is this original acrylic on canvas painting done by Cheyenne Native American artist Lynross Bixby circa 1990s. Lynross Bixby was born of Northern Cheyenne heritage in the Crow Agency, Montana in 1955. This beautiful painting shows a bald eagle soaring through the sky under the clouds. In the clouds, a spirit style Native American hunter and buffalo can be seen. The hunter appears to be trailing the buffalo, trying to hunt it with his long spear. The painting shows great attention to detail throughout. The painting and frame show good condition overall with slight wear present on the frame. The visible art measures 15 9/16" L x 19 9/16" W, while the entire piece measures 17 1/4" L x 21 1/4" W x 3/4" D. It weighs 4 pounds and 8 ounces.
