The lot features a flat bag constructed of Indian tanned hide and covered in glass trade seed beads in a geometric pattern in the style and manner of the Cheyenne of the early 1900's. The bag has a floral calico trade cloth inside lining and, overall, the piece is constructed with sinew and trade thread sewing. The bag has a flap, which is completely beaded as well, with an Indian tanned hide strap and large early glass trade bead with rolled tin jingle cone fringe to tie the piece off. The top has a wound hide strap with fringe. The beadwork shows colors of white, blue, semi-translucent maroon, and black. Overall, the bag measures 8.5" x 6" with an additional 16"L strap.
