The lot features a double headed stone war club attributed to teh Cheyenne Native American Indians. The war club head is expertly carved from a solid piece of Pipestone Catlinite and has a unique double pointed design. The club head has a few cracks and repairs, but overall display very well and appears to be solid. The war club shows a wood haft which is wrapped in Buffalo parfleche rawhide which is sinew sewn. The wood appears to have been dyed or stained. The handle shows a wrapping of rawhide with a quirt link wrist throng. Overall the piece displays well. Age is unknown. The War Club measures 26" long with a 7" long head with a diameter of 2".
