For your consideration, a hand carved and painted Scaled Quail. This beautifully detailed wood carving is signed by Bozeman artist, Chris Olson. In addition to creating wood carvings in his own studio, Olson carved works for Big Sky Carvers as a Master Carver. The quail shows a wonderful carved figure with a detailed hand painted coloration and feather patterns. The Scaled Quail is set onto a piece of highly charactered burl wood with contrasting light brown and black coloration. The bottom of the wood is signed, "Chris Olson". The piece shows excellent condition; it measures 15" L x 6" W x 10 1/2" T.
