Featured in this lot is this Native American Crow hair roach. The piece is crafted from porcupine hair and has the tips dyed with yellow ocher mineral pigment paint. The center structure is woven with black and red German town like trade yarn with two rawhide strings for securing. These headdresses would have been worn across the top of the warriors head for battle or a special ceremony. This example displays very well and shows good overall condition. The roach measures 21" L x 3 3/8" W.
