Featured in this lot is this classic tanzanite and diamond platinum ring with AIGL and GIA paperwork. The ring shows a polished,. stamped and tested platinum ring with a bright finish and shows new condition and excellent workmanship. The ring shows a cushion modified brilliant cut tanzanite gemstone with measurements of 8mm x 8mm and violetish blue coloration and very good cut grade and a weight of 2.96cts. The center stone and the triple row pave shoulder setting are decorated with 76 round brilliant cut diamonds that measure 1mm and with a clarity grade of SI1 - SI2 and color gradient G - I and collectively weigh 0.37cts. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This ring is of the best quality available to the public. The ring size is US 7 1/4.
