Featured in this lot is this opulent 3.10cts tanzanite and diamond platinum ring with AIGL and GIA paperwork. The ring shows a polished, stamped and tested platinum ring with a bright finish in new condition and excellent workmanship with a 'Orianna' hallmark and a PT950 stamp next to the hallmark. The ring shows a center stone of oval brilliant cut crown, modified brilliant cut pavilion tanzanite with measurements of of 10.6mm x 8.2mm x 5.2mm and shows violetish blue and is a very good cut grade and a total weight of 3.10cts. The center stone and split shoulder setting are profusely decorated with 82 total round brilliant cut natural diamonds the measure 1.2mm and show VS2 - SI1 clarity and shows a color gradient of G - H and a collective weight fo 0.63cts. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This ring is of the best quality available to the public. The ring size is 6 1/2.
