Featured in this classic tanzanite diamond ring with AIGL and GIA paperwork. The ring shows a polished, stamped and tested platinum ring with a bright finish and in new condition with excellent workmanship with 'Orianne' hallmark with a 'PT950' stamp next to it. The center stone shows modified brilliant cut oval tanzanite with measurements of 10.8mm x 8.1mm x 4.6mm with violetish blue coloration and very good cut grade with a weight of 3.07cts. The center stone is decorated with floral style halo ring and pave shoulders with 26 round brilliant cut diamonds with measurements of 1.5mm - 2.0mm with a clarity grade of VS1 - VS2 and a color gradient of G - H and a collective weight of 0.43cts. Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. It was originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company, who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The ring size is US 7. The piece comes complete with AIGL Inc.(American International Gemological Laboratories, Inc. a GIA certified lab AIGL#: K34E52-EA14885) report and appraisal confirming the above info and giving a total value of $8,630.00.
