The lot features a phenomenal natural Tanzanite and Diamond Platinum ring in a classic design with paperwork. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. The ring is from renowned designer Orianne Collins and is marked, "ORIANNE PT950”. The ring shows a classic Mid-Century high-end luxury setting in solid platinum which is beautiful prong set with an octagonal rectangular cut cornered step cut natural Tanzanite stone with fantastic deep blue / purple violet coloring, very fine transparent clarity and size of 2.65 carats. The ring shows a classic Mid-Century styling and design with a brand new manufacture being elaborately set with diamonds and supported by a platinum lattice gallery setting with delicate graceful polished band also being diamond set on the shoulders extending halfway down the band. Overall, the ring shows a total of 30 round brilliant cut diamonds having a weight of .65 carats with a very good cut and quality, VS2 to SI1 clarity and G-H color. The ring comes with an AIGL (American International Gemological Laboratories, INC. a GIA certified lab AIGL# K41E86-EA12874) report and appraisal which confirms the above information and gives a value of $11,293.00. Tanzanite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The ring shows a size of 7 US.
