This is an original arrest warrant for infamous Cochise Cowboy Phineas “Phin or Fin” Clanton brother to Billy and Ike Clanton who were killed at the O.K. Corral by the Earps; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. This is a original handwritten arrest warrant for famous Cochise County Cowboy Phineas Clanton, famous for being accused of attempted murder against Virgil Earp and the assassination of Morgan Earp. The arrest warrant for Phin Clanton is dated circa 1890 from Graham County in Arizona Territory. With the time frame of this arrest warrant brought against Phineas Clanton would have been for the implication of Livestock Theft with the grand jury in the end returning 15 indictments accusing Phin of Grand Larceny. In this arrest warrant he is commanded to produce himself to the Sheriff until he can pay the sum of $350.00 for bail. Phineas Fay Clanton (December 1843 – January 5, 1906) was the son of Newman Haynes Clanton and the brother of Billy and Ike Clanton. He was witness to and possibly played a part in a number of illegal activities during his life. He moved frequently in his early life from Missouri to California and to Arizona. The condition of this Territory of Arizona arrest warrant is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and only shows browning to the pages consistent with the age of the warrant. The measurements of this official arrest warrant is 12 1/2" x 7 7/8".
