The lot features an Elk or Moose hide beaded doll with old tag from the Coeur d’Alene Native American Indians from circa 1941. The tag reads, “Liu au Indian Chief made by the Coeur d’Alene Indians 1941.” The piece shows Indian tanned elk or moose hide with glass bead accents and horsehair braid at the top along with black drawn facial features. The piece is in good condition. Provenance: From a historic Eastern Montana American Indian Collection, where the piece was found to be an authentic original, one of the finest collections of American Indian weaponry and antiquities in Montana. Both are approximately 8.25”L by 4.25”W.
