In this lot is a great collection of six C.M. Coolidge, "Dogs Playing Poker" prints. There are four prints in frames that measure 10 1/4" X 14 3/4". Stamped in the lower right corner of the print, over Coolidge's copyright, is “Compliments of Perfection Foods Company Mfgrs. of Dog Foods Battle Creek, Michigan". These prints are in a simple brown frame and have a sticker on the back from the "Snook Art Co. 106 North 29th St. Billings Montana". The four prints are titled: "Pinched - With Four Aces", "A Friend In Need", "Post Mortems", and "A Stranger In Camp". The next print is in a black frame and measures 10 1/4" X 15". This print bears no re-mark from Perfection Foods. This print is titled "Sitting Up With A Sick Friend". The last print is in a gold tone frame and measures 10 1/2" X 15. This print is titled "His Station and Four Aces". Coolidge's paintings are known for his ability to give the dogs human expressions, while maintaining realistic representations of dog breeds. All of these prints and frames are in good condition.
