For your consideration is this collection of five (5) vintage 1960s hand warmers from various companies. The first three in this collection are from the Aladdin Manufacturing Co. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There are two Jon-e Giant GI hand warmers and a regular sized Jon-e. The Jon-E GI hand warmer is an original and cutting-edge heating device created in 1960 and produced by Aladdin Manufacturing Co. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The purpose of this hand warmer was to warm and comfort people in cold situations, especially soldiers fighting in the Korean War. The Jon-E GI hand warmer is a lightweight, refillable heating appliance that uses fuel to produce heat. Its innovative design makes it simple to refill and heats effectively, providing it a dependable source of warmth in any circumstance. The hand warmer is constructed from sturdy materials, including a metal body and a wick component that won't rust. A separate container holds the gasoline, which can be quickly replaced with conveniently accessible fuel, such as lighter fluid. The Jon-E GI hand warmer's sleek design and recognizable trademark make it not only useful but also aesthetically beautiful. Outdoors enthusiasts, such as hunters, campers, and skiers, frequently utilize hand warmers as a simple and portable source of warmth while on their adventures. The Jon-E GI hand warmer is a time-honored and expertly crafted heating tool that has been helping people in cold environments for more than 60 years. The lighters feature the name and company manufacturer engraved on the bottom, along with their patent numbers. All three hand warmers are in good condition with wear consistent with their vintage age. All three hand warmers come in their original red felt bags. The two larger ones measure 2 3/4" L x 1 3/8" W x 4 1/4" H. The smaller one measures 2 1/4" L x 3/4" W x 3 1/2" H. The fourth hand warmer in this collection was made in Japan in the 1940-50s by Mikado & Co and was called the Mikado Peacock. Since Mikado & Co. has been making hand warmers for more than a century, the business has a long history and heritage. Ever since its founding in the early 1900s, Mikado has given generations of adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts warmth and comfort. Each hand warmer is both fashionable and practical due to the company's use of premium materials and meticulous attention to detail. The Mikado Peacock features a sleek look with a cut out design in the metal resembling a peacock with its feathers extruding out. The front is engraved with, "Mikado" and the back with "Japan". Overall the hand warmer is in good condition with some wear from its vintage age and use. This hand warmer comes in a blue felt bag. The hand warmer measures 2 3/4" L x 3/8" W x 3 3/4" H. The fifth and final hand warmer bears no makers mark but is believed to have been made by Phoenix in Hong Kong in the 1970s. This hand warmer is unique in the sense that it features a cut out star design with a large hole in the middle of the star used for lighting cigarettes. The hand warmer is in good condition for its vintage age with residue of an old sticker possibly. It comes in a blue felt bag and measures 2 1/4" L x 3/4" W x 3 3/4" H. The hand warmers have not been tested for functionality.
