Lot consisting of one large red MTN/Caseguard ammunition box hand marked “.40-65” and “BALLARD” containing 99 rounds of correctly headstamped .40-65 Starline brass cases of which 60 are hand-loaded with cast lead bullets and 39 are fired brass with spent primers intact. On the lid is smokeless loading date presumably for the loaded rounds (North American Auction Co. can NOT confirm this is how the cartridges are loaded). Also included in this lot is one full plastic box of 20 factory labeled “BUFFALO ARMS Co. .40-70 Sharps Straight Black Powder Ammo for Shiloh Sharps Rifles, .408” 400 grain, Box of 20.” There is also a plastic box containing 9 hand loaded cast bullet rounds of .50-90 Sharps cartridges in Brass Extrusion Labratories, LTD brass with “BELL” head stamped brass. Lastly, are two new Shiloh Sharps Rifle Co. (Big Timber, Montana) made Lawrence ladder rear sights with two correct blade front sights. One rear sight is of the “full-buckhorn” variety and the other is of the “semi-buckhorn” variety. The collection weighs 11lbs.
