For your consideration in this lot is a Regency style solid wood and laminated burl Collezione Europa dresser. The Regency era encompasses the reign of the Prince Regent of Great Britain. The Regency period was one of great cultural refinement and achievement in Great Britain and has been credited with altering and shaping the societal structure of the entire country. One such influence was evident in the design and manufacture of Regency furniture, which incorporated the motivations and inspirations of the Prince Regent with foreign designs from the ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian cultures. The wood shows a burled high gloss veneer. This piece shows solid wood contemporary construction. The three drawers along the top have high relief carving of leaves and flowers. On each side of the piece are carved Roman Corinthian style columns. The drawers on the right and left side have laminated burled wood. The center has two doors that open into a storage area. This piece is in very good condition and features a mirror on top with additional carving and two folding mirrors, one on either side. The sideboard measures 81" wide X 23 ½” deep X 38 ½” tall.
