This is an outstanding GIA certified Color Change Alexandrite and VS2-SI1 Diamond ring set in 18K yellow gold. The ring shows an 18k yellow gold, ladies custom made ring with a center stone of natural, brilliant step oval cut, rare Color Change Alexandrite having a weight of 1.61 carats with color from fine yellowish green changing to brownish yellow. Natural Alexandrite is a natural Chrysoberyl species and color change examples such as this are rare and highly desirable. The piece comes with a Gemological Institute of America GIA Alexandrite Report Number 2211492868 which confirms the tones authenticity, size and color change and does not mention heat treating. The setting is set with 1.14 carats of round brilliant Diamonds with VS2-SI1 clarity and G-H color. The ring, which has split shoulders and a double halo all set in Diamonds, comes with an SGL (Superior Gemological Laboratory, a GIA graduate gemologist) appraisal and report confirming the above info and giving a retail value of $14,620.00. The ring is a size of 7 US.
