This is an outstanding Chinese Qing Dynasty inside-painted large glass snuff bottle signed Yong Shoutian dating to circa 1898-1917. The piece shows a hand formed glass snuff bottle with traditional shape and rounded sides and front and hand ground base. The piece is layer hand painted from the inside with five Chinese Warrior human figures and four horses with inscription / Chinese characters on the front. Truly a rare war scene equestrian example. The piece is paired with the original amber glass stopper lid with corn stopper holding a short section of the carved bone spoon (which is broken off). Yong Shoutian examples are scarce and highly collected with this being a lovely specimen. The cork on the stopper appears to have been glued, the paint appears to be crisp and well preserved with rich coloring (does not appear to be faded). Signed artist snuff bottles are increasingly rare especially of an Antique age. The bottle measures 4 1/4" tall by 3 1/4" wide.
