Colt Black Powder Series First Model 1851 Navy, .36 caliber percussion revolver, new condition in original Colt black box. These superb authentic Colt produced revolvers were introduced in November 1978 and produced in various models until November 1982. The square-back trigger guard Model 1851 Navy revolver is one of the most historical and desirable of the production line. This example with serial number 27946 comes complete with its original black box marked “The authentic COLT BLACK POWDER series” with end label markings of “Model F1100” and matching description and serial number. The inside lid of the box contains Colt literature etc. This magnificent revolver has a color case hardened frame and deeply blued barrel, cylinder with engraved cylinder scene, etc. and silver plated back strap, front strap and trigger guard. A truly stunning Colt that is now over 40+ years out of production. These are rapidly increasing in value, and this is one of the most desirable and attractive of the entire Black Powder series line. Serial Number: 27946. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
