Offered for sale is an early, rare Colt Open Top Pocket Model .22 Caliber Spur Trigger revolver that was manufactured in 1874. The rare revolver shows the two line Hartford Colt address on the top of the barrel, reading "Colt's PT F.A. MFG Co. Hartford. CT U.S.A.". The revolver features a seven shot cylinder, brass frame, and 2 1/4" barrel. The piece shows walnut grip set on the brass frame. After a short period, the .22 was redesigned and the ejector housing was omitted. Eventually, the high hammer profile was replaced with a lower profile. This revolver is in good condition for its age, showing wear mostly on the screw under the barrel. A light patina is present on the brass frame, dark bore, working action, visible markings, and good grips. Serial Number: 40777. This firearm qualifies as an Antique and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
