Featured in this lot is a Columbus Milpar U.S. M6 rifle bayonet originating from the mid 1900's. This bayonet was manufactured by the Columbus Milpar and Manufacturing Co, located in Columbus, Ohio. The piece is very similar to the M5 bayonet, with the M6 using a conventional muzzle ring. The knife shows a spear point blade, plastic grip, metal attachment point, and metal attachment point release near the guard. The guard is marked "U.S. M6 Milpar Col" with a stamp on the front. The piece shows good condition overall, with some rust on the blade. The piece measures 11 1/2" long, with the blade being 6 3/4" long.
