Featured in this lot is this Crawford Co., Wisconsin Godar "Scully" point aged 4,500 - 3,500 B.P. and from the middle to late Archaic period. The point shows a side notched slightly excurvate blade, which is finely serrated and shows 'U' shaped notches that are wide and fairly deep with a basal area. The point is of a napped pink flint material construction. This point shows a Bennett's Artifact Authentication certificate; Bennett works with the Ancient artifact division of Premiere Auctions Group and has been involved in ancient Indian artifacts for over 25 years as a collector, dealer, and authenticator. The Bennett's Artifact Authentication Encoded Certificate Number is: 08H5R57. The condition of this point is good, with a slight chip to one of the shoulders. The measurements of this point are 2 1/8" x 1 1/8" x 1/4". The point was found in 1975.
