Featured in this lot is this collection of Crockett Renalde and Don Ricardo Spurs, circa 1940's. There are two pairs of spurs in this collection. The first pair is a pair of Crockett Renalde spurs, identified by the maker’s mark on the backs of the spur strap swivel buttons; the pair features ten tine star rowels and chap guards shown on drop shanks. The second pair is from Don Ricardo and is identified by the maker’s mark on the bottom of the neck of the spur shanks; the spurs have rowels of rounded clovers and show brass spur strap swivel buttons. The condition of this grouping of spurs is good and working, with oxidation and wear consistent with the age of these spurs. The measurements of these spurs are 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and 1 1/2" x 4" x 5".
