The lot features a circa 1880’s child’s hide and fabric doll with beadwork from the Crow Native American Indians. This 19th Century example comes with a museum collection tag as shown. The doll shows a stuffed calico trade clothe structure with Indian tanned hide ties which is finally adorned with a four-strand early glass trade seed beaded necklace show in in blue, black, yellow, red and more. The piece shows a nice patina and coloring from honest age and use. Provenance: From a large American Indian collection in Billings, Montana. Measures 10.25”L by 2.25”W.
