The lot features a set of Montana Crow Native American Indian hide beaded moccasins dating to the early 1900’s. The set shows Indian tanned buckskin hide with medium height ankle having a fold down top which holds the original hide tie straps. The tops show a floral geometric pattern in all early glass trade seed beads of the correct early 1900’s period in colors of greasy yellow, corn yellow, butterscotch yellow, medium green, red and light blue. The beads are sewn with trade thread and shows some repairs. The bases are comprised of soft hide with well worn foot pattern patina, an honest sign of age. The set comes from a large Old West and American Indian collection in Billings, Montana. Each measures 9 3/8”L by 3 5/8”W by 3.75”H.
