This is an excellent, handwoven flat weave rug by master weaver Alicia Gutierrez. It was made using 100% soft, fine handspun yarns in a beautiful Cubos Blue pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave, using 100% handspun wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight handwoven weave displays bright, rich tones in the fine Cubos Blue pattern in the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Alicia Gutierrez. The rug shows a wonderful, contemporary rendition of a banded eye dazzler with bands of black, green, and yellow and large sections of rectangles in blues, blacks, whites, and greys in a stepped diamond pattern, radiating from the center and staired below. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a tight weave. The rug measures 2’ 6” by 5’ (2 foot 6 inch by 5 foot). This is a brand-new rug.
