Featured in this lot we have a custom hand tooled leather purse. IT is constructed out of sturdy leather with woven black and white leather stitching and carry strap. The purse shows wonderful engraved floral patterns and Native American scenes. The front flap of the purse shows a Native American scout kneeling on a hill with his horse. The front of the piece shows a Native American horse and rider overlooking a valley with three covered wagons in the background. The back of the purse depicts a Chief and two other Indians inspecting jewelry with a teepee in the background. The bottom of the piece shows ornate floral patterns with it marked "HM". The interior of the purse shows three inner compartments with a leather tab marked "ELVI" and a brass clasp with a brass locking bar. The piece shows good condition overall. It measures 14" wide by 10" tall and 4 1/2" thick.
