For your consideration is a custom Mauser M98 .270 caliber bolt action rifle. The M 98 controlled round feed bolt action system is a simple, strong, safe, and well-thought-out design that was originally patented by Paul Mauser on 9 September 1895 and inspired other military and hunting/sporting rifle designs that became available during the 20th and 21st century. This rifle features a 24 ½” tapered round blue’d barrel. The barrel near the receiver is roll stamped “.270”. The receiver, trigger guard, bolt handle and magazine bottom shows a gorgeous hand hammered textured finish. The straight grain walnut stock shows a beautiful graduated construction and raised cheek pad. The pistol grip on the stock has a finely detailed checkering. The action on the rifle has a tight lock up and operates as intended. Pre 1964 rifle has no Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
